ORDER

The prayer made in this writ petition is to direct the second respondent to include the name of the petitioner in the list of panel for promotion to the post of Assistant Accounts Officer, from the post of Accounts Supervisor for the year 2013 - 2014 and consequentially promote the petitioner as Assistant Accounts Officer, on the basis of the representations dated 25.06.2014 and 10.10.2014 made by the petitioner. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

2.Upon notice, the respondents filed a detailed counter affidavit inter alia stating that the petitioner has passed B.Com degree only in August 2013 and he is eligible for promotion to the post of Assistant Accounts Officer only on the crucial date of 25.03.2014 (i.e.,) in the year 2014 and hence, the writ petition is liable to be dismissed as devoid of merits. 3.Today, when the matter was taken up for consideration, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the relief sought for herein has become infructuous and hence, nothing survives for adjudication.

4.In view of the above submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
