ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by P.N.PRAKASH, J.] Seeking a direction to respondents 1 and 2 to secure the petitioner's minor daughter, who has been illegally detained under the custody of the third respondent herein and produce her before this Court and hand over her to the petitioner, the present habeas corpus petition has been filed.

2.It is the case of the petitioner that her daughter X has been taken into illegal custody by the third respondent and that the police have not taken any action on her complaint. 3.Today, Mr.A.Arun, Sub Inspector of Police, Harur Police Station, Dharmapuri District is present. The petitioner and the victim girl are also present.

4.On instructions, learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that on the complaint given by the petitioner, the police registered a case in Crime No.1570 of 2020 for the offence under Sections 363, 366 IPC altered into Section 6 of POCSO Act and arrested the third respondent and remanded him to judicial custody on 02.01.2021. He further submitted that the girl was secured and has been handed over to the parents.

5. In view of the above, the habeas corpus petition stands closed.
