The prayer in the present writ petition is for a direction to the respondents to call the petitioner for medical examination in the recruitment process held for the post of Constable GD in CAPFs and Rifleman GD in Assam Rifles, 2013.
2. Admittedly, the selection process was conducted through online mode and the petitioner herein has also applied through online. The candidates, who have qualified, were called for medical examination through online.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that since there was a considerable delay of 5 months in calling the candidates for medical examination, the petitioner was not in a position to verify the online status. He further submitted that the statement in the counter affidavit, that the petitioner was called for medical examination through post, is false and he had not received any such intimation.
4. When the selection process is being conducted through online and the petitioner has also applied through online mode, it is the duty of the candidate to monitor the latest progress in the ongoing process of the selection. Merely because the petitioner claims that he has not received the postal information with regard to the medical examination, it cannot be said that the petitioner should be given an opportunity to appear once again.
5. Admittedly, all the qualified candidates were called for medical examination through online mode and the petitioner herein had not properly checked the website. While that being so, the respondents cannot be found fault with. Even otherwise, the recruitment process is of the year 2013 and the selection process itself would have been completed by now and at this stage, the petitioner cannot be accommodated in the selection process that was held in the year 2013. As such, I do not find any merits in the present writ petition. Accordingly, the Writ Petition stands dismissed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
