Respondents Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, pleased to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 1 to 4 to take the action against the 5th and 6th respondents on the complaint given by the petitioner dated 27.03.2023, so as to ensure the peaceful and smooth administration of the Arulmigu Drowpathi Amman temple, Panchanathikulam Nadusethi Village, Vedaranyam Taluk, Nagapattinam District.

ORDER

The writ petitioner seeks a direction to the respondents 1 to 4 to take action against the respondents 5 and 6 based on the complaint given by the petitioner, dated 27.03.2023.

2. According to the petitioner, he is a Hereditary Trustee of Arulmigu Drowpathi Amman temple, Panchanathikulam Nadusethi village, Vedaranyam taluk, Nagapattinam district. The respondents 5 and 6, without 2/5

having any right in the administration of the temple, are interfering with the administration by taking possession of keys of the temple. The petitioner made a complaint in this regard to the respondents 1 to 4 on 27.03.2023 and the official respondents have not considered the same in accordance with law.

3. The learned Additional Government Advocate, appearing for the respondents 1 to 4, on instructions, submits that on an enquiry, the official respondents found that the keys of the temple are with the priest of the temple.

4. In view of the matter, the second respondent is directed to consider the complaint made by the petitioner, dated 27.03.2023, on merits, after issuing notice to the petitioner as well as the respondents 5 and 6 and pass orders within a period of six weeks from today.

5. With the above said direction, this Writ Petition is disposed off. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed. 3/5
