ORDER

The instant writ petition is filed for issuance of a writ of mandamus to direct the 1st respondent to pay the petitioner her arrears of pay for the period from 01.01.2006 to 31.12.2021 to the tune of Rs.1,42,080/- in the light of the 2/6

proceedings of the 3rd respondent dated 26.02.2025 in Na.ka.No.712/2022/A3/02.2025 on her representation dated 07.02.2025.

Mr.R.U.Dinesh Raj Kumar, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice on behalf of the first respondent, Mr.G.Ameedius, learned Government Advocate, takes notice on behalf of the second respondent and Mrs.S.Mythreye Chandru, learned Special Government Pleader, takes notice on behalf of the respondents 3 and 4. By consent of the parties, the main writ petition is taken up for disposal at the time of admission stage itself.

The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner was employed as a sweeper in Singarajapuram Panchayat Union Middle School Village from 08.04.1996, with the salary of Rs.95/- per month and subsequently the salary was increased to Rs.170/- per month without any other Government measures. Further, he would submit that the enhanced pay between 01.01.2006 to 31.12.2021 to the tune of Rs.1,42,080/- was not paid. In this connection she has filed an earlier petition before this Court in W.P.No.33226 of 2023. This 3/6

Court directed the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 03.07.2023. In pursuance thereof, the Block Educational Officer has addressed a letter to the petitioner on 18.02.2025, wherein the third respondent has not disputed the petitioner's claim, however, they would submit that the amount would be settled as and when they receive the amount from the Government.

At this juncture, the learned Additional Government Pleader, Government Advocate as well as the Special Government Pleader, appearing for the respondents fairly reiterated the ground urged in the letter dated 18.02.2025 and 26.02.2025 and submitted that the process of getting the amount from the Government is in the advance stage.

5. Heard both sides and perused the materials available on record.

6. In such view of the matter, without going into the merits of the case, this Court deems it appropriate to issue direction to the first respondent to take all endeavours to settle the petitioner's claim, within a period of four (4) months 4/6

from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
