(R4 suo motu impleaded as per order dated 30.07.2018 in W.P. 18897/18) ..Respondents Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to convert the land as the land allotted for "public purpose", in which the Arulmighu Karpaga Vinayagar, Arulmighu Kasiviswanathar, Arulmighu Kasi Visalakshmi and Arulmighu Balamurugan Temples situated in Kani Nilam Layout, Ward No.28, Saravanampatty (formerly Ward No.15, Saravanampatty Town Panchayat), Coimbatore Corporation, based on the petitioner's representation dated 18.06.2018.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by M. SATHYANARAYANAN, J.) The writ petition is filed praying to issue a writ of mandamus to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 18.06.2018 in and by which he prayed for conversion of the land allotted for public purposes in which the religious structures/temples are located.

2. Heard the submissions of Mr.G.Karthikeyan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.J.Sathya Narayana Prasad, learned Standing Counsel appearing for respondents 2 and 3, who, on instructions submitted that the said request made by the petitioner has been rejected and the same is also the subject matter of W.P.No. 19490 of 2018, which is pending on the file of this Court.

3. In the light of the said development, W.P.No. 18897 of 2018, is dismissed as infructuous. No costs. Consequently, connected W.M.P.No.22284 of 2018 is closed.
