ORDER
The writ petition has been filed for a declaration to declare the selection of 914 Technical Assistants (Electrical) and 50 Technical Assistants (Mechanical) as null and void pursuant to the Advertisement issued by the 3rd respondent on 30.05.2013 regarding recruitment to the post of Technical Assistant and consequently direct the respondents to earmark reservation of post for the persons who have completed Diploma Course before 2000 by creating separate selection process.
2. The selection process was conducted in the year 2013-2014 and it was completed and the selected candidates were appointed. The grievance of the petitioner was that the procedure followed prior to 2000 has to be adopted for selection by taking into consideration the marks secured by the candidates in 5th and 6th Semesters alone.
3. The issues raised in this regard are decided by the Division Bench of this Court in W.A.No.298 of 2016, etc. batch, dated 19.11.2021 and accordingly, the marks secured in Semesters 3 to 6 are to be taken into consideration, for the purpose of selection and the said procedure was being adopted for the purpose of selecting the candidates.
4. This being the factum, the relief, as such sought for in this writ petition at this length of time, does not require consideration and accordingly, the Writ Petition stands
dismissed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
