ORDER

The writ petition has been filed to direct the respondent to assign appropriate placement in the post of Women Grade-II Police Constable on the basis of the marks obtained by the petitioner in the Police Training School along with her batchmates of the year 2003 to 2004 and consequently grant and extend the benefit of promotion on par with her juniors on the basis of the representation dated 30.08.2024.

The case of the petitioner is that, she was selected as Women Constable Grade - II during the year 2003-2004. While so, due to some medical ground, her claim for appointment was put on hold. Such order was ultimately quashed in W.P.No.7818 of 2006 dated 13.08.2010. However, taking into consideration of the earlier delay in appointment, the petitioner was not considered for promotion. In this connection, she sent a representation to the respondent dated 30.08.2024, and the same is pending. Hence the instant writ petition has been filed. 3.

At this juncture, Mr.G.Nanmaran, learned Special Government Pleader who takes notice for the respondent would fairly submit that the petitioner's representation would be considered within a reasonable time.

Heard the learned Counsel for both sides and perused the materials available on record.

In view of the above submission of the learned Special Government Pleader, this Court without going into the merits of the matter, deems it appropriate to direct the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 30.08.2024, and pass order on it's own merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

In the result, the Writ Petition stands disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
