ORDER

This writ petition has been filed to direct the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 29.03.2025.

2. Ms.K.Aswini Devi, learned Standing counsel, takes notice on behalf of the respondents. By consent of the parties, the main writ petition is taken up for disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that in this case, the demand notice dated 15.07.2022 came to be issued by the respondent, wherein they had enhanced the property tax, for the petitioner's property, without any prior intimation. Therefore, a representation dated 29.03.2025 has been made by the petitioner requesting the respondents to inspect and assess the said property on the 2/6

basis of as is where is condition and thereafter to calculate the property tax demand. However, the said representation was not at all considered by the respondent till date. Hence, this writ petition.

4. In reply, the learned Standing counsel appearing for the respondents would requests this Court to pass appropriate orders directing the respondents to consider and dispose of the representation made by the petitioner.

5. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Standing counsel for the respondents and also perused the materials available on record.

6. In the case on hand, without any prior intimation, the property tax was enhanced and the demand notice was issued by the respondent on 15.07.2022 and hence, a representation dated 29.03.2025 has been filed by the petitioner requesting the respondents to inspect and assess the said property on the basis of "as is where is condition" and thereafter to calculate the property tax demand. However, the same was not 3/6

considered by the respondents till date.

7. In view of the above, this Court directs the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 29.03.2025 and dispose of the same on its own merits and in accordance with law within a period of 4 weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

8. With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
