ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed for the issue of Writ of Mandamus directing the 3rd respondent to register the Settlement Deed which is in the stage of pending document and which was executed by the mother and sister of the petitioner in his favour .

2. Heard Mr.M.R.Jothimanian, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.T.M. Pappiah, learned Special Govt. Pleader appearing for the respondents.

3. The learned Special Govt. Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondents submitted that a protest petition has been received by the 3rd respondent against the registration of the Settlement Deed. The learned counsel submitted that the 3rd respondent will decide the same and pass appropriate orders under Section 71 of the Registration Act and the same will be done within the time limit prescribed by this Court.

4. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case, there shall be a direction to the 3rd respondent to immediately decide upon the registration of the Settlement Deed presented for registration within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. This Writ Petition is disposed of with the above directions. No costs.
