Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to call for the records pertaining to the Wakf viz., the Nethajinagar Burma Tamil Muslim Jumma Mosque, Nethaji Nagar, Tondiarpet, Chennai - 600 081 and the bank account bearing No.30062167624 belonging to the Seethakathi Matriculation School, lying with the second respondent.

Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner prayed that this writ petition may be closed with liberty to the petitioner to approach the Authorities concerned by filing appropriate application in the format statutorily provided under Section 17(2) of the Wakf Act, 1995.

2.Granting such liberty to the petitioner, this Writ Petition stands closed. It is needless to state that on filing of such application by the petitioner, the Authorities concerned shall consider the same, in the manner known to law. No costs.
