This Writ Petition has been filed for the issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the third respondent to send a report as called for by the second respondent by its letter 09.08.2010 in No.805/2010/Aa.

Heard Mr.S.Muthukumar, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.P.Balathandayutham, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents. 3.

The petitioner filed this writ petition for direction, directing the third respondent to send a report as called for by the second respondent by its letter 09.08.2010 in No.805/2010/Aa. While pending the writ petition, the second respondent issued notice to the petitioner, dated 26.01.2022, thereby called upon the petitioner to submit all the documents along with the encumbrance certificate for the period of 30 years in respect of the property comprised in Survey Nos.734, 735, 737, 738, 739 and 741 situated at Sholinganallur, Chennai. The petitioner submitted an application for cancellation of patta issued with regard to the aforesaid lands in favour of the third party. On receipt of the same, the second respondent issued notice and called for the reports from the third respondent. It is pending for the past several years. 4.

Considering the above, the third respondent is directed to complete the enquiry and send a report to the second respondent, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On receipt of the same, the second respondent is directed to conduct an enquiry, after giving an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and the counter parties if any, pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks thereafter. 5.
