The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 3(2)a, 4(1) and 5(1)a of Immoral Traffic Prevention Act, in Crime No.19 of 2021, on the file of the respondent Police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that, based on an advertisement offering women for prostitution found on the Locanto App, the respondent police conducted a raid and found certain persons allegedly involved in fresh trade activities. Hence, the case.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is innocent and has not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution and that he has been falsely implicated in this case. He further submitted that the petitioner is ready to co-operate with the investigation. Hence, he prayed for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondent police reiterated the prosecution case and opposed the anticipatory bail application.

5. Taking into consideration of the totality of the circumstances, this Court is of the firm view that the offence allegedly committed by the petitioner has serious societal impact. Hence enlarging the petitioner on anticipatory bail at this stage would affect the moral fiber of the society at 2/4

large. In such view of the position, this Court is not inclined to enlarge the petitioners on anticipatory bail.
