ORDER
When the matter was posted in the year 2021 itself, there was no representation for the petitioner. Hence, registry is directed to print the name of the petitioner in the cause list. Thereafter, the matter was listed on 03.04.2024, 10.04.2024 and 17.04.2024; on all the hearings, there was no representation for the petitioner. Hence, the case was directed to be listed under the caption "for dismissal".
2. Heard the arguments of Mr.C. Kathiravan, learned Government Advocate (Teachers Recruitment Board) appearing for the respondent.

The petitioner herein has filed this writ petition to order to direct the respondent to award additional 21 marks to the petitioner in the examination conducted by the respondent for the post of Post Graduate Assistants held on 21.07.2013 in Registeration No.13PG12010766 as awarded to other candidates those who were given question papers booklet series 'B' - Tanuk (13PG-01).
4. The petitioner is qualified to the Post Graduate Teacher having passed M.A., B.Ed., in Tamil.

Board/respondent by advertisement dated 09.05.2013 had invited applications for Direct Recruitment for the year 2012-2013 in the post of Post Graduate Assistants. The petitioner herein had applied for the post of Post Graduate Teacher - Tamil. She appeared for the examination on 21.07.2013 and secured 94 marks out of 150.

The petitioner further submits that she was issued with question paper booklet series 'B' with subject code 13PG-01 and at later point of time, it was found out that there are number of mistakes occurred in that particular series of question paper namely 'B' series. This was reported to the authorities. Accordingly, the respondent awarded 21 marks in addition to the marks obtained by the candidates those who were given 'B' series question paper in the subject of Tamil.
6. The petitioner submits that unfortunately she was not awarded additional 21 marks. The candidates who filed writ petitions before this Court were awarded additional 21 marks. She gave representation to the respondent herein on 14.08.2014 requesting to award additional marks, and that has not been considered by the respondent authorities. Hence this writ petition.

Mr.C.Kathiravan, the learned Government Advocate (Teachers Recruitment Board) submitted that those who approached this Court in time had been awarded additional marks of 21, and a batch of writ petitions were dismissed due to latches, as those writ petitions were filed after the recruitment process was completed. Another reason pointed out is that there is no vacancy, despite the fact that the petitioner is entitled for grace marks. If the petitioner approached the Court in time she would have benefited.
8. This writ petition is filed belatedly after the final results were published. On the ground of latches, this writ petition stands dismissed. No costs.
