(Order of the Court was made by M. SATHYANARAYANAN, J.) (Through Video Conferencing) The petitioner, challenging the grant of licence to quarrying gravel, granted in favour of the 3rd respondent, vide https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

proceedings of the Deputy Director, Department of Geology and Mining, Tiruppur, dated 14.09.2020, has filed an appeal, dated 09.11.2020, by invoking the provisions under Rule 36-C of the Tamil Nadu Minor Minerals Concession Rules, 1959. 2.Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner prays for earlier disposal of the said appeal.

3.This Court heard the submissions of Mr.M.Elumalai, learned Additional Government Pleader, who accepts notice on behalf of the official respondents.

4.This Court, taking into consideration the limited scope of prayer sought for by the petitioner, without going into the merits of the grounds raised in the appeal memorandum filed before the 1st respondent, directs the 1st respondent to put on notice the 3rd respondent, and thereafter, dispose of the said appeal, on merits and in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, not later than six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order/uploading of this order in the website, and communicate the decision taken to the petitioner as well as to the 3rd respondent.
