O R D E R

The instant writ petition has been filed with a prayer for issuing a Mandamus, directing the respondent to pay a sum of Rs.56,314/- and Rs.67,886/- respectively towards surrendered Earned Leave salary which petitioners surrendered in November 2018 and 2019 and February 2019 and 2020 with 10% interest to the petitioners.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioners retired from service on 30.04.2020. It is the further submission of the petitioners that they are entitled for 15 days surrender leave salary and in this connection, the petitioners have sent representations on 29.04.2025 and 30.04.2025 respectively and such representations are pending with the respondent.

3. Per contra, the learned Standing Counsel for the respondent though would object the quantum of amount, however, fairly submits that they would make payment in accordance with their service records, within a reasonable time.

4. Heard the learned counsel for both sides and perused the materials available on record.

In such view of the matter, this Court deems it appropriate to direct the respondent to consider the petitioners' representations dated 29.04.2025 and 30.04.2025 and pass orders on it's own merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
