ORDER

(Made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) We have heard Mr.K.Sudhakar, learned counsel for the petitioners and Mr.P.Muthukumar, learned State Government Pleader, assisted by Mrs.R.Anitha, learned Special Government Pleader for the respondents 1 to 6.

2. We are not inclined to entertain the present writ petition. The

representation is given by the petitioners on 22.05.2023 and on 30.06.2023, the writ petition is filed seeking to decide the representation.

3. Writ petitions cannot be filed for deciding the representations within such a short time. If, in a reasonable period, the authority does not take cognizance of the representation, then the petitioners may, depending upon the facts and circumstances, get a right to file the writ petition.

4. If the authority fails to consider the representation of the petitioners within a reasonable time, the petitioners may take further steps. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. There will be no order as to costs. W.M.P.No.21394 of 2023 seeking to permit the petitioners to file single writ petition is allowed and disposed of. (S.V.G., CJ.) (P.D.A., J.) 27.07.2023 Index :
