ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for a mandamus to direct the respondent to complete the enquiry and pass orders in the appeal dated 10.09.2012 filed by the petitioner under the Tamil Nadu Patta Pass Book Act in accordance with law.

2. Heard Mr.R.Munuswamy, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mrs.K.Bhuvaneswari, learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondent.

3. Admittedly the appeal is now pending on the file of RDO, Ponneri Division, Ponneri. The prayer sought for by the petitioner is an innocuous relief and therefore, the said prayer can be granted.

4. Accordingly, this Court directs the Revenue Divisional Officer, Ponneri Division, Ponneri to dispose of the appeal dated 10.09.2012 filed by the petitioner under the Tamil Nadu Patta Pass Book Act by passing final orders after giving sufficient opportunity to the petitioner within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
