This writ petition has been filed for a direction to the respondents to consider the representations of the petitioner dated 20.01.2014 and 16.06.2014 relating to providing him a job on compassionate ground. 2.According to the learned counsel for the petitioner, the father of the petitioner by name S.Bakthavatsalu, died on 06.12.2003, while he was working as Village Administrative Officer in Veerapuram Village, Thirukkazhukundram Taluk, Kancheepuram District. In the year 2004, the petitioner's mother made an application seeking a suitable job to her elder daughter on compassionate ground, to which, the second respondent by proceedings in Na.Ka.No.4929/2003/A3 dated 27.04.2004, replied that no job can be given to anybody, since there was a ban order by the Government.
In the mean while, the petitioner's elder sister got married and hence, the first respondent rejected her application on 20.08.2006. After revocation of ban order, the petitioner sent a petition dated 14.06.2007 to the second respondent seeking compassionate appointment. By letters dated 09.05.2012 and 19.05.
petition and directed the petitioner to produce the relevant documents. Accordingly, the petitioner produced all the necessary documents to the respondents. On 15.04.2014, the first respondent directed the petitioner to furnish proof relating to the earlier communications and also directed the second respondent to send a detailed report regarding the steps taken in this regard. Thereafter, no order / reply was received from the respondents 1 and
2. Hence, the petitioner sent representation and reminder dated 20.01.2014 and 16.06.2014 to the first respondent. However, no fruitful result was forthcoming, which compelled him to file the present writ petition for the aforesaid prayer.
3.When the matter was taken up for consideration, the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents fairly submitted that the first respondent would consider the claim of the petitioner and pass orders, in the light of the recent Government Order. 4.Considering the nature of the relief sought herein and taking note of the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, this Court directs the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representations dated 3/5
20.01.2014 and 16.06.2014 and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law and also in the light of G.O.(Ms).No.18, Labour and Employment (Q1) Department dated 23.01.2020, within a period of eight
