This petition has been filed to direct the respondent to file a final report in Crime No.1406 of 2006 within a stipulated time.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner; learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent and perused the materials placed on record.

3. When the matter is taken up for hearing, learned Additional Public Prosecutor on instructions, submitted that investigation in Crime No.1406 of 2006 was completed as early as on 16.11.2006 and the necessary report has been filed before the concerned Court.

4. The closure report was filed in the year 2006 and now, in 2016, the petitioner has filed the present petition for a direction to file a final report. Had the petitioner been diligent, he could have filed a protest application in 2006. Now, that opportunity also cannot be granted. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

In view of the above, this petition stands dismissed for laches.
