This petition has been filed to direct the 2nd respondent to register the petitioner's complaint dated 05.08.2016 as against one Tamilarasi and her husband Annadurai for having indulged in breaking the CCTV Camera which was installed within the premises of the petitioner and proceed with the investigation in accordance with law and file a final report.
2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner; learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents and perused the materials placed on record.
3. The grievance of the petitioner is that he has given a complaint dated 05.08.2016 to the 2nd respondent through post followed by the complaint dated 19.11.2016 given to the 1st respondent and the 1st respondent has also given an acknowledgment for the same. But, the said complaint has not been enquired by the 2nd respondent police till date. Hence, he approached this Court by way of filing this petition.
4. A perusal of the typed set of papers filed along with this petition shows that the complaint has been sent through post. However, no action has been taken by the 2nd respondent till date. Therefore, the 2nd respondent police is directed to enquire the compliant of the petitioner dated 05.08.2016 as to whether any cognizable offence is made out and to take
appropriate action in accordance with law.
5. With the above observation, the Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
