O R D E R

The Contempt Petition on hand has been filed to punish the respondents for their willful disobedience of the orders passed by this Court on 10.11.2022 in W.P.No.17519 of 2018.

2.The learned Special Government Pleader furnished the copy of the order passed by the Secretary to Government, Higher Education Department, in letter dated 12.07.2023. As per the said order, the Government has considered the eligibility of the petitioner for interest and accordingly decided the issue.

3.The learned counsel for the petitioner raised an objection by stating that the respondents have not calculated the interest at all and therefore, they have committed a contempt of Court. 2/4

4.This Court has passed an order directing the respondents to settle the admissible interest as per the Rules on belated payment of the DCRG amount and accordingly settle the terminal benefits to the petitioner. Since the authorities have considered the admissibility of the interest and passed orders, this Court cannot form an opinion that they have committed contempt of Court wilfully and wantedly. In the event of any dispute regarding the interest, the petitioner is at liberty to pursue the remedy. 5.Accordingly, the contempt petition stands closed. No costs.
