The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 04.04.2022 for the offences punishable under Sections 8(c), 20(b)(ii)(c), 25 and 29 (1) of NDPS Act in Crime No.136 of 2022 on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that on 04.04.2022, based on a secret information, the respondent police intercepted a vehicle bearing Registration No. TN 05 CE 5132 and found the accused persons in possession of 80 Kgs of ganja. Hence, the case.

3. The petitioner and the other accused person were in possession of contraband weighing 80 Kgs of Ganja. It is a commercial quantity. That apart, the petitioner failed to fulfill the twin conditions as contemplated under Section 37 of the NDPS Act.
