O R D E R

This petition has been filed to direct the respondent to register the petitioner's complaint dated 21.05.2017 and proceed with the investigation in accordance with law and file a final report.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner; learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent and perused the materials placed on record.

3. The grievance of the petitioner is that she has given a complaint dated 21.5.2018 through Online and received an acknowledgment. Since till date no action has been taken against her complaint, the petitioner is before this Court with this petition.

4. A perusal of the typed set of papers filed along with the affidavit would show that the petitioner has given a complaint through Online on 21.5.2018 and received an acknowledgment for the same. Under such circumstances, it is the duty of the respondent police either to investigate the case or to close the complaint. Without doing so, he cannot keep the complaint pending. Therefore, the respondent police is directed to enquire the compliant of the petitioner dated 21.05.2018 as to whether any cognizable offence is made out and to take appropriate action in accordance with law.

5. With the above observation and direction, the Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
