O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 2nd respondent to furnish the certified copy of the Sale Deed Document No.1954 of 1962 dated 18.9.1962 on the file of the Sub-Registrar, Pallavaram to the petitioner.

Heard the learned Counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate who takes notice for the respondents. 3.

The petitioner claims to be owner of the property covered in Survey No.115, Paimash No.30/3 and Plot Nos.1066 and 1068 in No.154, Madipakkam Village, Ram Nagar South and he purchased the same from one Kamala Ammal, who purchased the same from one K.B.Gopinathan under a Registered Sale Deed Document No.1954/1962 on the file of the Sub-Registrar, Pallavaram. From the date of purchase, it is claimed that the petitioner has been https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

in possession and peaceful enjoyment of the same. The further case of the petitioner is that he was furnished with Xerox copy of the Sale Deed of the year 1962. The petitioner applied for the certified copy of the same to the 2nd respondent on 8.6.2018, but the same was returned stating that the particular year of the document is in damaged condition. On verification, it was found that it is not in damaged condition. Hence the petitioner has filed the present Writ Petition.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the matter, the 2nd respondent is directed to issue a Certified copy of the Sale Deed Document No.1954/1962 dated 18.9.1962 pending on his file on payment of requisite charges. The said exercises shall be completed within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order.

The Writ Petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
