This petition has been filed to direct the respondent to register the petitioner's complaint dated 06.03.2018 and proceed with the investigation in accordance with law and file a final report.
2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner; learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent and perused the materials placed on record.
3. Admittedly, the respondent police has registered a case in C.S.R.No.181 of 2018 based on the complaint of the petitioner. Having registered the C.S.R., it is the duty of the investigating officer either to register the case or close the complaint. Without doing so, he cannot keep the complaint pending. Therefore, the respondent Police is directed to enquire the petition and to take appropriate action in accordance with law.
4. With the above direction, this petition is disposed of.
