Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus to call for the records of the 3rd respondent impugned letter in No.RPI/32(4)2016 dated 02.08.2021 and quash the same and direct the 2nd respondent to reconsider the petitioner application dated 21.06.1999 for the employment on compassionate grounds. For Petitioner : Mr.P.Chandrasekar - No appearance.

On 16.02.2026, there is no representation on behalf of the petitioner either in person or through his counsel, this Court directed the Registry to list the matter on 17.02.2026 under the caption "for dismissal".

Even today (17.02.2026) when the matter is listed under the caption 'for dismissal', there is no representation on behalf of the petitioner, when the matter is called in the morning session and passed over and taken up at end of the day, which only goes to show that the petitioner is not interested to pursue the matter.

3. In view of the above, the writ petition is dismissed for non-prosecution. No order as to costs.
