Prayer :- This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking for a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, to call for the records of the second respondent in Letter No.Oo.Po/E & Pa/Pa/Kho/A-9/09, dated 02.05.2009 and quash the same, and consequently direct the second respondent to effect electricity connection to the petitioner's hut situated at S.No.392/2A in Kizhakondayar Village, Tiruvllallur District by considering the petitioner's representation dated 16.05.2014.

ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed challenging the order of the second respondent dated 02.05.2009, wherein, the service connection sought for by the petitioner was rejected. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would state that during the pendency of the Writ Petition, the petitioner passed away. On instructions, the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents would state that since petitioner died, a service connection has been given in the name of the petitioner's son.

3. In the light of the above submission, I am of the opinion that nothing survives for adjudication and the prayer sought for in the Writ Petition has become infructous. Hence, the Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous. There is no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
