Respondents Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of a writ of certiorarified mandamus calling for the records of the 2nd respondent regarding the impugned Gazette Notification No.VI(2)/46(c)/2019, dated 24.05.2019 and quash the same as arbitrary, unjustifiable and illegal in so far as the Ponneri Town Panchayat is concerned and consequently direct the respondents to consider the objections of the petitioner and other villagers of Chinnakavanam who made

objections for determination of the wards of Ponneri Town Panchayat in the light of the provisions of the Tamil Nadu Delimitation Commission Act, 2017.

ORDER

2. In any event, there is a previous judgment of this court reported at (2020) 6 MLJ 61 (R.Muthukumar v. The Delimitation Commission Chairman), which takes the same view.

3. Accordingly, W.P.No.21842 of 2021 is dismissed. W.M.P.Nos.23020 and 23021 of 2021 are closed. There will be no order as to costs.
