O R D E R

This criminal original petition has been filed to provide police protection to the petitioner's life and his wife's life and property from the hands of the 4th respondent and from his hooligans on the basis of the complaint dated 22.07.2016 and the reminder dated 23.08.2016.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the Respondents 1 to 3.

3. It is the case of the petitioner that he had entered into a sale agreement in respect of his property with one Velu on 07.09.2011 and since Velu did not come forward to pay the sale consideration for the last 5 years, the petitioner was not able to proceed further.

4. While so, it is alleged by the petitioner that the said Velu is causing disturbance to the petitioner and his family members. In this regard, the petitioner has given a complaint dated 09.06.2016 to the third respondent police, based on which, petition enquiry is pending in CSR No.62 of 2016, in which, Velu had appeared before the third respondent police and has given written

statement stating that he will not cause any further disturbance to the petitioner and that, he will settle all the disputes through Court. In view of the above, the criminal original petition is closed with liberty to the petitioner once again approach the police, if there is any threat from Velu.
