O R D E R
The relief sought for in the present writ petition is for a direction to direct the respondents to provide alternate employment in commensurate with his disability with continuity of service, pay protection, backwages and all other attendant
benefits from 16.08.2016 based on the medical certificate issued by the Medical Board dated 22.06.2017.
2. With reference to the relief sought for in the present writ petition, the learned standing counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents made a submission that alternate employment has already been provided to the writ petitioner and the said statement is accepted by the learned counsel for the writ petitioner. Thus, in respect of providing alternate employment, the grievances of the writ petitioner has already been redressed.
3. However, the learned counsel for the writ petitioner states that the salary and other benefits are yet to be paid.
4. This being the factum, this Court is of the view that it is needless to say that once an alternate employment is provided to the writ petitioner, the authorities competent have to initiate steps to provide salary and other benefits as applicable to the writ petitioner, in accordance with rules as expeditiously as possible.
5. With these observations, this writ petition stands disposed of. No Costs.
