ORDER

This contempt petition has been filed consequent to an order in Crl.O.P.No.2113 of 2017 wherein, directions had been issued to reinvestigate and to examine whether Section 5 of the Arms Act would stand attracted in the circumstances surrounding the explanation given by the licence holder of the gun.

2. It is informed on behalf of the respondent that subsequent to the said order, re-investigation had also been done and final report had been filed on 09.09.2025 before the Judicial Magistrate, Rasipuram for offences punishable under Sections 336 and 337 of IPC and Sections 3, 25(9), 25 (1B) (b) and 25(1B)(h) of Arms Act, 1959. It is also informed that said final report had been taken cognizance in C.C.No.381 of 2025 by the Judicial Magistrate, Rasipuam. The calender case is under now under the exclusive jurisdiction of the learned Judicial Magistrate, Rasipuram.

3. Since reinvestigation had also been done, provisions of Arms Act had also been invoked and licence holder of the gun has also been arrayed as an accused, this contempt petition stands closed. 13-03-2026 Index: Yes/No Speaking/Non-speaking order gpa To
