Mr.B.Nedunchezhiyan, learned Standing Counsel Pleader takes notice for the respondent. Heard both. By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

2. The petitioner seeks a direction to the respondent to issue licence to him for selling eatables and collecting empty bottles from the bar attached to TASMAC shop No.4538 in Uthiramerur, Kanchipuram District.

3. In my view, no positive direction can be issued as sought for by the petitioner, as an application for licence has to be submitted and licence granted after following a transparent procedure. In any event, the petitioner submitted a representation dated 2.6.2016 to the respondent.

4. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 2.6.2016 on merits and in accordance with law within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

copy of this order and inform the petitioner as to the exact state of affairs, so that the petitioner would be able to work out his remedies in a manner known to law. No costs. Consequently, the above WMP is closed.
