This petition appears to be an excuse for the order of this Court of April 27, 2018 probably not having been complied with. The order appears to be clear in its terms.

2. It is submitted on behalf of the Union Territory of Puducherry that a direction is necessary as to the seniority as a consequence of the services of the workmen being reinstated.

3. To begin with, the petition has been disposed of and the order passed therein has to be given effect to, unless appealed against. It will be open to the petitioner herein to take appropriate steps strictly in terms of the order dated April 27, 2018 as expeditiously as possible, since the delay already appears to be contumacious. If there is any deliberate mis-interpretation of the order or non-compliance therewith in any other manner, it will be open to the workmen to take appropriate steps in accordance with law.

CMP No.14638 of 2020 is dismissed without any order as to costs.
