PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider the representation dated 20.03.2025 and to survey and measure the boundaries of the petitioner's land in SF.Nos.615/2B, 617/1A & 617/1C situated in Ananthalai Village, Walajah Taluk, Ranipet District, within a time frame as fixed by this Court.

By consent of learned counsel on both sides, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

The present writ petition is filed praying for a writ of mandamus to direct the respondents to consider the representation dated 20.03.2025 and to survey and measure the boundaries of the petitioner's land comprised in SF.Nos.615/2B, 617/1A & 617/1C situated in Ananthalai Village, Walajah Taluk, Ranipet District.

It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner purchased the subject property by way of a sale deed dated 07.10.2024, registered as Document No.5428 of 2024 on the file of the SubRegistrar office at Walaja Nagar and patta has been mutated in his name in patta No.9596. Thereafter, the petitioner filed an on-line application/representation dated 20.03.2025 before the first respondent to survey and measure the boundaries of the subject property and has also paid necessary charges. The said application was not considered by the first respondent till date. Hence the petitioner has filed the present writ petition. 2/5

On this being pointed out, the learned Government Advocate would submit that they would consider the petitioner's online application/representation dated 20.03.2025 and carry out survey and measure the boundaries of the subject property and complete the process, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court, which was agreed to by the learned counsel for the petitioner.

In view thereof, the writ petition stands disposed of with the direction to the respondents to consider petitioner's online application/representation dated 20.03.2025 and carry out survey, measure the boundaries of the subject property and complete the process within a period of 8 weeks from the date of uploading of the web copy without waiting for the receipt of certified copy, after giving prior notice to the petitioner, adjacent land owners and other interested parties including rival claimants if any. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any views with regard to the merits of the case and it is open to the concerned respondent to consider the matter on its own merits and in accordance with law. No costs.
