The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 10.07.2022 for the offences punishable under Section 395 and 397 of IPC in crime No.132 of 2022 on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that petitioner along with other accused persons assaulted the de-facto complainant with iron weapons and snatched Rs.3,00,000/- from him. Hence, the complaint.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has been falsely implicated in this case. Hence, he prays for grant of bail to the petitioner.

4. The learned Additional Public prosecutor appearing for the respondent submitted that there are five previous cases pending against the petitioner. Hence, he vehemently opposed to grant bail to the petitioner.

5. Considering the above facts and circumstances of the case and also the bad antecedent of the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. Hence, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. 10.08.2022 mpl https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis
