The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 12.07.2022 for the offences punishable under Sections 395 and 397 of IPC in crime No.132 of 2022 on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail.
2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner waylaid and attacked the defacto complainant using iron rod and robbed a sum of Rs.3 lakhs. Hence, the case.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is an inncoent person and he has been falsely implicated in this case. Hence, he prays for grant of bail to the petitioner.
4. The Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent police would submit that there are twelve previous cases pending against hte petitioner and further submitted that only Rs.29,000/- has been recovered. https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis

5. Considering the gravity of the offence committed by the petitioner and also considering the bad antecedents of the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.
