Respondent Prayer: This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking for a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to take into account of 50% past daily paid services of the petitioner from 01.05.1982 to 30.06.1986 rendered in the respondent Corporation in the line with the G.O.No.408, Finance (Pension) Department, dated 25.08.2009 taking into consideration of the representation of the petitioner dated 22.06.2016.

Heard Mr.D.Soundarraj, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.P.Paramasivadoss, learned Standing Counsel, accepting notice on behalf of respondent. With the consent of the learned counsel on either side, the Writ Petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

2. The petitioner has filed this Writ Petition to direct the respondent to take into account 50% of his past services from 01.05.1982 to 30.06.1986 rendered by him in the respondent Corporation on daily wages, by adopting the policy of the Government Order in G.O.No.408, Finance (Pension) Department, dated 25.08.2009, taking into consideration of the representation of the petitioner dated 22.06.2016.

3. It is seen from the records that the petitioner's representation dated 22.06.2016, has been received by the respondent on the same day.

4. The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent submitted that reasonable time may be granted to the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 22.06.2016, on merits.

5. In the light of the above, without going into the merits of the case, there will be a direction to the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 22.06.2016, and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
