Respondents Petition filed under Section 11 (6) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 read with Clause 3(1)(b) of the Scheme for Appointment of Arbitrator, 1996 to appoint an independent Sole Arbitrator to adjudicate upon the claims of the petitioner as the Arbitration Application submitted by the petitioner to the Chief Engineer, Public Works Department, Puducherry viz., the 1st respondent dated 11.4.2016 as per the Agreement No.51/M/2012-13 dated 04.9.2012 and as per Clause 25 of the General Conditions of the Contract for Public Works, 1996.

O R D E R

The learned counsel for parties state that after filing of the petition, the first respondent has appointed Thiru.K.Subhas Chandra Bose (retired Chief Engineer) as the Sole Arbitrator with the venue at Puducherry, and thus a request is made jointly to close the proceedings.

2. The Original Petition, accordingly, stands disposed of. No costs.
