The non-selection of the petitioner to the post of BT Assistant for the year 2012-13 is under challenge in the present writ petition.

2. The petitioner participated in the process of selection for appointment to the post of BT Assistant (Tamil) for the year 2012-13.

3. Learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents made a submission that the petitioner was called for certificate verification. However, the authorities competent, during verification, found that the petitioner did not possess the requisite educational qualification as she has not completed the regular pattern of education i.e. 10+2+3 as per the recruitment notification.

4. In view of the fact that during the relevant point of time the petitioner has not possessed the requisite educational qualification as per the recruitment notification, her case was not considered for selection to the post of BT Assistant. That apart, the selection was conducted for the year 2012-13 and nine years have lapsed. This being the factum, no further consideration is required.
