This writ petition has been filed for a direction to the respondents 1 to 3 to conduct enquiry to include petitioner name in the joint patta No.741, based on her representation dated 02.08.2023 within a stipulated time.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents and perused the materials available on record.

It is the grievance of the petitioner that she had purchased 20 cents of land in Survey No.142-9 from one A.Balasundari under a registered Sale Deed No.586/72 on the file of Thiruthuraipoondi Sub Registrar Office. The patta for the land was transferred to petitioner's name and her name appears second in Joint Patta No.256. While so, as per patta transfer order vide Page 2/5

Dho.Mu.Pa.Ma.5858/87/A9 dated 26.09.1991, petitioner's name was removed from the above said joint patta and one Murugaiya Thevar's name was added to the said Joint Patta. Hence she had sent a representation on 05.08.2021 to the Revenue Divisional Officer to reinsert her name in the patta. On 02.08.2023, the petitioner sent another representation to the 2nd respondent and the same has not been considered yet. As inaction on the part of the respondents, this writ petition has been filed.

Considering the limited relief sought for in this writ petition, the first respondent is directed to conduct an enquiry to include her name in the joint patta No.256 based on the representation of the petitioner dated 02.08.2023, on merits and in accordance with law, after giving notice to any other interested persons. Such exercise shall be completed within a period of two months from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
