ORDER
This writ petition has been filed for the issuance of Writ of Certiorari, calling for the records from the second respondent pursuant to his proceedings No.H.O.Ref.No.11(5)/Estt./2011/3725 dated 04.10.2013 leading to the appointment of 9th Respondent to the post of DDTD (P) with effect from 7th October 2013 and quash the same in the substantial interest of equity, fairness.
2. When the matter was listed for hearing on 06.12.2024, this Court passed the following order:- " The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents 1 to 8 submits that the petitioner had filed this writ petition challenging the appointment of the 9th respondent as a Deputy Director. He further submits that the petitioner who was an in-service candidate challenged the promotion of the 9th respondent, only on the ground that he was ought to promoted to the post of Deputy Director.
2. It is also submitted that pursuant to the filing of writ petition, the petitioner was also promoted to the post of Deputy Director and the petitioner is no more. Therefore, the issues sought for in this writ petition become infructuous.
3. When this writ petition was listed on 30.10.2024, there was no representation on behalf of the petitioner. Today also, there is no representation on
behalf of the petitioner.
4. Post the matter on 11.12.2024, under the caption "For Dismissal".
3. Even today, there is no representation on the side of the petitioner. Accordingly, this writ petition is dismissed for non prosecution. No costs.
