ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent Police to file the final report in R.C.S.No.18 of 2016 in Crime No. 13 of 2012 before the Judicial Magistrate No.II, Sankagiri.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent.

3. When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the investigation in Crime No.13 of 2012 has been completed and the final report was filed on 03.12.2016 before the Special Court for Land Grabbing Cases (Magisterial level), Salem. But the learned Magistrate has returned the final report on 04.02.2016, in view of the stay that has been granted by the Hon'ble Supreme Court in connected matters.

4. Under such circumstances, the respondent police is directed to file the final report before the Judicial Magistrate No.I, Omalur, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and on such filing, the learned Judicial Magistrate No.I, Omalur, shall accept the same and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law.

5. With the above direction, this criminal original petition is closed.
