ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for a Mandamus seeking for a direction to the second respondent to approve the promotion of the petitioner as P.G. Assistant (Botany) in the fourth respondent School, with effect from 07.06.2017, with all consequential monetary benefits, on the basis of the proposal submitted by the fourth respondent dated 03.10.2017. 2.The grievance of the petitioner in this writ petition is that the second respondent has not approved her promotion to the post of P.G. Assistant (Botany) in the fourth respondent School with effect from 07.06.2017 till date. The proposal was submitted by the fourth respondent seeking for approval of the petitioner's promotion on 03.10.2017. The petitioner has also retired from service subsequently.

3.No prejudice would be caused to the respondents if the fourth 2/4

respondent's proposal dated 03.10.2017 seeking for approval for the promotion of the petitioner as a P.G. Assistant (Botany) in the fourth respondent School with effect from 07.06.2017 is considered, on merits and in accordance with law, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. 4.For the foregoing reasons, this Court directs the second respondent to pass final orders, on merits and in accordance with law on the fourth respondent's proposal dated 03.10.2017 seeking approval for the promotion of the petitioner as a P.G. Assistant (Botany) in the fourth respondent School with effect from 07.06.2017, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.With the aforesaid direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
