ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by P.N.PRAKASH, J] This petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to produce the petitioner's father Elango, aged about 51 years, before this Court and set him at liberty.

2. It is the case of the petitioner that his father Elango, aged about 51 years, went missing from 26.08.2021 and the police are not taking effective steps to secure him.

3. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the State submitted that based on the complaint of the petitioner, a case in Mohanur P.S.Crime No.628 of 2021 for 'man missing' was registered on 02.09.2021 and investigation is in progress.

4. In view of the above, we direct the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Namakkal Town, to supervise the investigation in Mohanur P.S.Crime No.628 of 2021 and keep the petitioner informed of the developments, if any. As and when the detenu is secured, he shall be produced before the Judicial Magistrate II, Namakkal, under intimation to the petitioner. On such production, the learned Magistrate shall pass appropriate orders.

With the above direction, this Habeas Corpus Petition is closed.
