Respondents Prayer :- Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus to call for the records of the 4th respondent in Na.Ka.No.01/C1-KPD/2018 dated 21.01.2018 and quash the same as illegal and consequently direct the respondent to grant permission to conduct public meeting on 05.02.2018 Near Katpadi-Chittor bus stand or any subsequent date with the use of public address system.

The petitioner's earlier request for conducting a public meeting came to be rejected on 23.01.2018 to celebrate 101st birthday of the former Chief Minister, Dr.M.G.Ramachandran, which is impugned in the present writ petition.
2. Today, when the matter was called, the learned Additional Government Pleader, on instructions, would submit that if the petitioner approach them with an application seeking a request to conduct the meeting after 23.02.2018, the same would be considered by the respondents in the same venue viz., near Katpadi-Chittor bus stand.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner also agrees that he is willing to conduct a public meeting after 23.02.2018.
4. In view of the submissions made by both the learned counsel, the petitioner is granted liberty to approach the 4th respondent seeking for permission to conduct a public meeting and on receipt of the same, the fourth respondent shall endavour to pass appropriate order granting permission to the petitioner to conduct a meeting for the 101st birthday celebration of the former Chief Minister, Dr.M.G.Ramachandran in the same venue.
5. Such a decision shall be taken at the earliest. i.e, two days from the date of the receipt of the petitioner's representation.
With the above observation, this writ petition stands disposed of. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
