The instant writ petition has been filed with a prayer for issuing a Mandamus to direct the first respondent herein to pay leave surrender, along with interest for the period of delay in making payment.

2. It is the contention of the learned counsel for the petitioners that the petitioners had retired from the services of the first respondent on 31.01.2012 and 30.04.2013 respectively as Security Sergeant, and made representations to the respondents seeking payment of leave surrender amount along with interest, there was no response for the same.

3. At this juncture, the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents would submit that the respondents have not received any such representations.

4. Heard the learned counsel for both sides and perused the materials available on record.

In view of the above fact, without going into the merits of the matter, this Court deems it appropriate to direct the petitioner to submit a fresh representation to the respondent within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On receipt of such representation, the respondent is directed to consider the same on its own merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks thereafter.

6. In the result, this Writ Petition is disposed of with the above observations. No costs.
