ORDER
By consent of learned counsel on both sides, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
2. The present writ petition is filed praying for a writ of Mandamus to direct the respondent to renew the gun licence of the petitioner by considering petitioner's representation dated 16.04.2026.
3. At the outset, learned counsel for respondent would submit that petitioner has only submitted a representation for renewal of arms licence and petitioner may have to submit an appropriate application in terms of Rule 24 of Arms Rules, 2016. He would further submit that if any such application is made by the petitioner, the same would be considered and appropriate orders would be passed in accordance with law. Agreed to by the learned counsel for petitioner.
4. In view therefore, the writ petition stands disposed of. It is open to the petitioner to submit an online application seeking arms license in terms of Rule 24 of Arms Rules, 2016. If any such application is made, the same shall be considered and appropriate orders shall be passed on merits and in accordance with law after affording a reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioner. It
