Respondent Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issue of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to pass orders on the representation dated 12.12.2017 seeking notional benefits of service accruals consequent upon rectification of seniority on merits and within a time to be stipulated by this Hon'ble Court.

ORDER

This writ petition has been filed filed by Mr.C.Tamilvelmurugan seeking a mandamus to the respondent to consider the pending representation dated 12.12.2017 seeking notional benefits consequent upon the rectification of seniority, on merits.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that after the petitioner was appointed as Junior Inspector of Cooperative Society on temporary basis on 15.10.89, the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission issued proceedings fixing the seniority on 18.10.2007, based on which the Joint Registrar of Cooperative Societies has prepared a seniority list placing the petitioner in Serial No.5715A above Mr.M.Edward in Serial No.5716. Subsequently, the said Mr.M.Edward was given promotion to the posts of Senior Inspector and Cooperative Sub Registrar during 2002 and 2011 respectively. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner has given a representation on 12.12.2017. Finding no https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

response, he has been advised to come to this Court seeking for consideration of his representation.

3. The learned Special Government Pleader for the respondent sought time to consider the pending representation on merits.

4. Placing on record his request, the respondent is hereby directed to consider the pending representation of the petitioner dated 12.12.2017 on merits and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
