PETITION under Article 226 of The Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the second respondent to receive the application of the petitioner dated 10.6.2016 in Form CCPA and the prescribed fee for the grant of a auto rickshaw permit and to consider the same. Mr.A.Zakkir Hussain, learned Government Advocate takes notice for the respondents. Heard both. By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

2. The petitioner seeks a direction to the second respondent to receive his application for the grant of auto rickshaw permit together with prescribed fee and to consider the same.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that there is a need for more auto rickshaws on account of the fact that several existing permit holders have stopped their operations and surrendered their permits.

4. In any event, as the petitioner's application has not been received by the second respondent, without going into the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

merits of the cases as projected by the petitioner, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the second respondent to receive the petitioner's application dated 10.6.2016, consider the same and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
